Mount remote file system using SSHFS
Mounting a file system over ssh
Create the local directory:
mkdir ~/remote
Mount:
sshfs -o idmap=user [username]@a.b.c.d:/home/chris ~/remote
Or using an identity file, or public/private key:
sshfs -o idmap=user -o IdentityFile=/home/chris/.ssh/[private key] [username]@a.b.c.d:/home/chris ~/remote
To unmount:
fusermount -u ~/remote
To add it to your /etc/fstab:
sshfs#[username]@a.b.c.d:/home/chris /home/chris/remote fuse defaults,idmap=user 0 0
mkdir ~/remote
Mount:
sshfs -o idmap=user [username]@a.b.c.d:/home/chris ~/remote

To unmount:
